Indy Speedway

The Tomorrowland Indy Speedway in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom is Disney’s answer to all those children who can’t wait to drive.  After going through a line that winds around, up, and over a bridge, and then into the “pit” area, you get into a two seat car.  You must be 52 inches tall to drive.  Anyone can be the passenger.  The cars are guided by a track in the road.  The speedway is four tracks wide, meaning up to four cars can be side by side at a given time.  Because of this, you have the ability to control your speed pretty well without two much hassle from behind.  Obviously, the cars cannot move very fast (7 mph), but you can go very slow if you desire.  The speedway winds around a little hill and borders the Space Mountain area and the entrance area to Mickey’s Toontown Fair.  It slows down for unloading and a peak times this can be a fairly long wait.
