Carousel of Progress
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom is one of two attractions at the park that were Walt Disney’s favorites (the other: It’s A Small World). This was first introduced at the World’s Fair in New York. Walt Disney loved it, and had it moved (in pieces) to Florida. This is a moving theater attraction, meaning you sit in a theater and the entire seating area rotates around a center stage. There are five separate “rooms.” The first is the introduction room, followed by the 1900s, the 1920s, the 1940s, and the 2000s. You end back in the introduction room. The theater moves slowly. This is a wonderful place to rest in some cool air. It is a classic attraction that explores the advances in technology, and life in general, over these time periods. Notice that there are multiple scenes in the two rooms on the sides of the main character room. Notice the dog too! The Carousel of Progress is located next to Galaxy Palace Theater to the side of Rockettower Plaza.
