General Information

ENTRANCE
The Magic Kingdom entrance is distinctive and imposing, in a good way.  After you get to the entrance plaza, you go through the security gates and then through the ticket gates.  Once inside the ticket gates, you are in front of a large flower garden with the face of Mickey Mouse in it.  Right behind Mickey is the Walt Disney World Railroad Station.  To the sides are a small merchandise store and a camera supply store.

Each morning, the Magic Kingdom opens with Mickey and friends on a train in front of the station.  It is a lot of fun for the children to be there for the opening. 

There are two entrances to the park from the entrance plaza.  There are entrance gates on both the left and right side of the railroad station.  Once you go through these gates, you are on Main Street U.S.A.
