Frontierland Railroad Station

The Walt Disney World Railroad Station in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom is located between Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain on the far left (west) side of the park.  Instead of going down into the entrance to Splash Mountain, you go up to the railroad station.  There is rarely much of a wait, as the trains come through once every seven minutes.  The Walt Disney World Railroad is an old steam engine train.  The train circles the exterior of the Magic Kingdom, giving you some sights of various parts of the park.  There are some areas that are designed specifically for the train and cannot be seen from any other part of the park.  This is a quiet and relaxing ride that often seems worlds away from the traffic of the Magic Kingdom.  There are stops in Frontierland, Mickey’s Toontown Fair, and Main Street.  The full circle takes 20 to 22 minutes.
