Peter Pan’s Flight
Peter Pan’s Flight in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom is a classic ride based on the popular children’s story and movie. This attraction is unlike most in that the “ship” you ride in hangs from the ceiling instead of moving on a track on the ground. The ride itself is fairly short, but pay attention to the detail, especially in the London scene. We love that part. Children will enjoy seeing favorite characters as you ride through the Peter Pan story, beginning in Wendy’s bedroom and ending with Captain Hook having his “problems” with alligators.
The ride is a little jerky but mostly smooth. A few people will be disconcerted flying above everything, but most will find the unique view enjoyable. This attraction is housed in a building across the Fantasyland promenade from It’s A Small World and around the corner from Mickey’s Philharmagic. The ships have one bench seat which holds two adults. The line can wind quite a bit, sometimes moving around the corner and back. Like The Many Adventures of Winnie Pooh, Peter Pan’s Flight is very popular and is best seen early or with FASTPASS.
