Mad Tea Party

The Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom is a traditional favorite of those who have been to Walt Disney World time after time.  It is also a favorite of those who like to be tossed all about and can keep their latest meal down.  You sit in a tea cup and move in two ways: (1) your cup spins, and (2) your cup is on an spoke which moves around the central axis at a fairly  high rate of speed.  The cup spins based on the amount its riders want it to spin by spinning the wheel in the middle. 

This combination of moving forward at a fast pace while spinning makes many people quite nauseated. 

This attraction is the closest Fantasyland ride to Tomorrowland and Mickey’s Toontown Fair, as it is located right in front of the Toontown Fair entrance.  If you enter Fantasyland from Main Street Circle, you will encounter the Mad Tea Party first.  As a cycle ride, the wait here can often become extreme compared to short length of the ride itself.  On our charts, we have this listed as the second quickest (1:15) attraction in the Magic Kingdom, only behind the Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm.  There are 18 cups, each of which hold two to three adults.
