Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Dumbo the Flying Elephant in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom is one of Walt Disney World’s most classic and endearing rides. It is, of course, based on the popular movie.
It is a cycle ride, which means that the wait can often be unbearable. Because of this, even what looks like a short line can take upwards of 30 minutes.
If the line is outside the shaded queue area, it will likely be at least one hour. None of this matters for the multitudes of families following the lead of the pre-school crowd.
The views from Dumbo can be amazing, as you get a view of most of Fantasyland and beautiful views of Cinderella Castle. For a great perspective, try Dumbo after dark.
Dumbo doesn’t go that high, but if you have a severe fear of heights, be careful. There are 16 elephants. Each has a seat that holds two people per seat. Dumbo is located between Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel and Ariel’s Grotto in the middle of Fantasyland.
