Fantasyland

Fantasyland is, without a doubt, the heart and soul of the Magic Kingdom.  The Magic Kingdom is, without a doubt, the heart and soul of Walt Disney World.  So what does that make Fantasyland?  Yep, it’s what you think it is.  It’s the best place to see Disney characters wandering about and it’s the most attractive place on Earth to the under 5 crowd.

Fantasyland is where you can find attractions, dining, and shopping involving Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Snow White, Ariel, Dumbo, The Mad Hatter, Mrs. Potts, Pinocchio, Belle, Tinker Bell, and so on.  This is not the land for big thrills.  Rather, it is the land for cute.  You can enjoy the musical comedy at Mickey’s Phillharmonic, the beauty of a flight through Peter Pan’s world, the classic tune of It’s A Small World, the incredible workmanship of Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel, the age-old joy of flying through the air like Dumbo, the fun of bouncing with Tigger at The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, the fear and fantasy of Snow White’s Scary Adventures, the charm of meeting Ariel, and the nauseating fun of The Mad Tea Party.  And of course, it all starts off with Cinderella Castle, the most famous symbol of Walt Disney World.

This is the land of fantasy, and it would be possible to spend an entire day here.  It’s popularity makes it extremely crowded, so it’s best if you have a plan and know where you want to go ahead of time.  But under any circumstance, it’s hard not to be amazed at the wonder of Fantasyland.
