Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror on Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of two side-by-side super headliners. Sitting next to the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, the Tower of Terror stands out throughout the park, as well as outside the park. It is the most visible Hollywood Studios landmark, standing thirteen stories high and towering over Sunset Boulevard. While the actual ride here is amazing, the wait area and line is quite interesting. It is full of Twilight Zone memorabilia and effects. You enter the “hotel” and board the elevator. Things begin normally, but after a few floors the Twilight Zone effects begin to occur. Once you reach the thirteenth floor is when the fun begins. The elevator’s cable snaps and the elevator plummets downward. As if that’s not enough, the elevator will go back up, go down again, back up, down again, and so on. Each ride is a random sequence of multiple drops, so you never know what you will experience. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is a true thrill ride, and will frighten many adults. So be careful with children on this one. Many consider this the best attraction at Walt Disney World. We guess that depends on your preferences, but it is very unique and very impressive.
