Voyage of the Little Mermaid
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid in Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is an enjoyable short production of the Disney animated classic. It uses a combination of special effects, film, and live acting to present Ariel and her friends. Ariel is the live actress, sitting on a large rock on the left of the stage. Her sea friends come and go on the screen or as automated figures. Ariel is joined at the end by Prince Eric, also live. The show is set with an underwater theme, of course, and some of the effects definitely make you feel like that’s where you are, including a light mist. Ariel sings a few songs, including Under The Sea, Part of this World, and others. The show runs continuously all day, with roughly two per hour showing. This is a must see for the Disney Princess lovers in your family. It is located to the left after you enter Animation Courtyard from Hollywood Boulevard.
