Hollywood Studios

Welcome to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the theme park that immerses you in movie experiences and history.  Formally known as Disney MGM Studios, Disney’s Hollywood Studios was opened in 1989 as the third theme park at Walt Disney World.  There are three imposing symbols of Disney’s Hollywood Studios – (1) Mickey’s Sorcerer Hat, (2) The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and (3) The “Earful” Tower.  Each presents a part of the magic of this park, from animation to movies to thrills.

You can experience thrills like no other at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Star Tours.  You can see see shows and productions that would impress Broadway at Beauty and The Beast-Live on Stage, the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, and Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show.  Your teens and preteens will love High School Musical 3: Senior Year.  And don’t forget the little ones.  There may be no more exciting place at Walt Disney World for toddlers and preschoolers than Playhouse Disney-Live on Stage!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is divided into seven “streets.”  They are Animation Courtyard, Commissary Lane, Echo Lake, Hollywood Boulevard, Pixar Place, Streets of America, and Sunset Boulevard.  You enter onto Hollywood Boulevard.  Mickey’s Sorcerer Hat is roughly the middle of the park, and all areas other streets are accessible from its plaza.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to a daily afternoon parade, the Toy Story themed Block Party Bash.  On certain nights, you can enjoy the spectacular laser, fireworks, and water show at Fantasmic!

We believe Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a wonderful place to experience the grandeur of movies and television.  Enjoy!
