Illuminations

Illuminations: Reflections of Earth has long been considered a visual masterpiece. It is a combination of a fireworks show, a lighting show, and a musical show, all taking place over the World Showcase lagoon and around the nations of the World Showcase. The theme is to display the Earth from its formation to the present day, with an emphasis on the cultures of our planet. The fireworks are shot in accordance with the music. During the show, the nations of the World Showcase are lit in special lights and glimmer beautifully. The focus of the presentation is a barge located near the center of the lagoon. On the barge is a giant “Earth” that lights up, revolves, and displays video. Flames and fireworks are shot next to the Earth. Illuminations can be viewed from virtually anywhere around the World Showcase lagoon. Make sure when picking a spot that there are no islands blocking your view of the center of the lagoon.
