Oasis

The Oasis is the entrance area at Animal Kingdom. Once you go through the admission gates, you are in the Oasis. It is the smallest of Animal Kingdom’s lands, with one attraction, one restaurant, and two shops (one of which is outside the front gates). The Oasis Exhibits are a very enjoyable walk-through attraction and the Rainforest Cafe is virtually always a hit with animal enthusiasts. The Oasis is a heavily treed area, making it seem distant from the heavy development seen at most theme parks. The Oasis sets the tone for Animal Kingdom by introducing guests to the concept that this a different kind of park. From the Oasis, you enter Discovery Island, and then proceed from there to the remainder of Animal Kingdom.
