Health

It is vital to make sure that you are prepared for the various health issues that may arise on your vacation. You will be spending a lot of time outside in Central Florida. During the summer, the average temperate will be in the mid-90s and the humidity level will be nearly as high. During the winter the heat is lower but it can still be very sunny. This is the Sunshine State, remember? Make sure you pack appropriate sunscreen for your party. Also, make sure that each member of your party is drinking plenty of liquids, preferably water throughout your stay.

For minor illness issues, each theme park has a first aid center. Each resort has a concierge desk that can guide you to the appropriate services. Each resort also has a store that has basic over the counter medicines and supplies.

For serious health issues, there is a Florida Hospital Centra Care Walk-In Medical Care center on Route 535, just to the west of the Hotel Plaza entrance to Walt Disney World. It is on the left side of Route 535, across from the grocery store. This is also known as the Lake Buena Vista Centra Care.

For emergency heath issues, you can, of course, call 911.

The Walt Disney World Emergency Services Headquarters is on Buena Vista Drive.
